Our story

A few years ago, I was stuck. I'd been chasing a number on the scale, believing that being smaller would somehow make me a better mom, wife, and person. With help from a therapist and coaches who pushed me to focus on what actually matters — getting strong, being healthy, feeling confident — something shifted. My goals stopped being about weight loss and started being about building a life I felt good living.

When my progress stalled, I chose curiosity over frustration. I started using BKT glucose and ketone testing to see how my body actually responds — to food, exercise, and rest. For the first time, I wasn't guessing. I had real numbers in front of me. That awareness helped me make better decisions about how I fuel and move my body.

That shift in understanding came at an important time. I was blessed to become pregnant again approaching 40, and I went into it feeling informed and aware of what my body needed. In postpartum, I still test regularly — not because the meter tells me what to do, but because the data helps me make choices that support the way I want to show up as a mom, partner, and woman.
