How do I measure my GKI?
Use the Glucose Ketone Index formula below to find your GKI
Glucose Test Level mg/dL ÷ Ketones Test Level mmol/L = GKI
Use your Glucose meter to test your glucose (blood sugar) and make a note of your blood sugar test result
Then measure your blood ketones and make a note of that number.
Divide your blood glucose by your blood ketones.
The end result is your GKI.
*If your Blood sugar monitor is using mg/dL, then you will first need to divide your blood glucose results with 18, this will convert it to mmol.
